Ginja_Ninja Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 Hi there, I have decided to offer a graphical/ textual report on the amount of bandwidth a customer has used so far in that given month. Just like the one avaliable to us in the cpanel. But i want it external to the cpanel. So my question is really, which files on the server do i need to reference in order to calcualte bandwidth usage. With this information, i can get into some heavy duty php writing. Any thoughts ?? Take Care G_N Quote
TCH-Don Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 Maybe this post on showing Awstats without cpanel access will give you some ideas. Quote
Ginja_Ninja Posted October 1, 2005 Author Posted October 1, 2005 hi, hmmm Been doing some digging, do i have access to "/home/USER/logs/access_log" "/home/USER/logs/access_log.1" ?? Quote
Ginja_Ninja Posted October 1, 2005 Author Posted October 1, 2005 Sorry, should give you a clarification. I would like to know the path name to the Raw access logs. That way i can then, do some calulations in order to work out how much bandwidth has been used in that month. Thanks for your time Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 You can download your raw access logs using cPanel. Quote
krazydad Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 You can download your raw access logs using cPanel. I wrote a perl script that does a nice snapshot of web usage in the past few hours, using the daily access.log file. In order to work, I need a path to the daily access.log file on the server. It's a pain-in-the-butt to have to download the monthly access.log file each time I want to check my stats for the last few hours, and I don't like having to wait til midnight for AwStats to update. Is downloading truly the only way we can get access to the raw file? Thanks Quote
