shadyDW Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Is it possible to upload an entire folder to my root directory, or is it better to upload all the files within that folder individually? Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 I am not sure if it can be done through cpanels file manager but with a ftp program it can be done. If you don´t have a ftp program, I would recommend CoreFTP. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 You can also load the zip archive to the public_html folder and use the File Manager in cPanel to extract the archive contents. Quote
TCH-Rob Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 In response to Thomas and cPanel being able to upload an entire folder, the cPanel file manager will only do files, not folders themselves. Quote
TCH-Don Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 My favorite way is what Bruce said I create a zip file with files and sub folders inside upload in file manager and extract file manager will unzip and recreate the folder structure. This is the fastest way as you are uploading a single compressed file and not a bunch and extracting on the server only takes seconds. Quote
