Need Little Help In Blocking Email,

Hello,

Everyday i keep getting BOGUS email from service@paypal.com and i know its fraudulant cause i'm not even signed up with them lol and keep forwarding it to to paypal to there security dept, But i was wondering is there away i can block this from even reaching my inbox? i added Message Rules in my inbox to block them but you know how spammers are here is the email i'm getting just DONT click the link

I don´t think there is much more you can do if you have cpanels spamassassin enabled and tested its various settings. The best you can do is to just these emails.

However, there is several "anti-spam" programs you can try.

Two that I use are Poptray and K9.

 

Poptray is a mail notifier but has a built in rules system which can delete it from the server so you don´t have to see it, if it has a rule for it.

 

K9 is not a mail notifier, but a very good anti-spam system (in lack of words).

 

However, none of these will work unless you train it to recognize the spam.

Or, if you don't have a paypal account and don't intend on getting one, you can set up a rule in spamassasin on your server to block any email from "paypal.com". I am a paypal member, and get these fairly often. They are somewhat amusing to read most of the time. I especially love getting the ones from banks I have never even heard of... especially when it's not even a bank here in America (Banco de Brazil rings a bell lol). But the best has got to be those "you had a rich relative you knew nothing about and they died and left you a whole bunch of money. Just send me $2,000 and I'll get you the money!". I actually replied to one of those one night when I was bored (and maybe a little inebriated) that said "Sure, just take the $2,000 out of the money you're sending me and we'll call it good." Amusingly, I haven't heard back...

I got one of those e-mails recently. Sad thing: it's on a paid e-mail account. I never get them on my ISP e-mails, and I only got them on my domain@domain.name.ext, LOL, so I just have that mail immediately deleted.
