abinidi Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 (edited) I'm considering installing the Image Headlines plugin for WordPress , and they say: Prerequisites Your hosting provider must have GD and FreeType support compiled in to PHP for this plugin to work. If you don’t know what this means, ask your hosting provider. I don't know what this is, so I'm asking my hosting provider. I'm on server 40, if it makes a difference. What is it? Do we have it? Thanks, Edited August 5, 2005 by abinidi Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 I know that TCH-servers support GD. FreeType I don´t know, sorry about that. Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 All about the GD library. I am assuming its this they mean anyway. Quote
TweezerMan Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 FreeType support is compiled into PHP on TCH servers. If you run a PHP script with the "phpinfo()" function in it, or browse to serverXX.totalchoicehosting.com/phpInfo.php (where 'XX' is your server number), you can see what options PHP was compiled with in the "Configure Command" box. The following options were used to compile PHP on server 40, indicating PHP was compiled with FreeType support: >--with-ttf --with-freetype-dir=/usr --enable-gd-native-ttf Quote
