likoma Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 A client of mine (I'm a reseller) was sending email from her Earthlink account (using smtp.earthlink.net) and I wouldn't get it and she wouldn't get it. We're both hosted with TCH. Other people (non-TCH) would get it. We did tests to Yahoo mail accounts, others, and they all got it. It seemed to be from Earthlink to TCH accounts that weren't working I did some searching on these forums and it may just be a temporary glitch, but I wanted to raise the issue and also post a solution if anyone is having this trouble. Long, boring story short, I found on the Earthlink page that you should use smtpauth.earthlink.net and then put in your Earthlink user name and password ("My SMTP server uses/requires authentication." Then when she sent, I got it and she got it. However, she did a test from her Earthlink webmail account and we both didn't get it. This final point lead me to believe that somehow TCH may be blocking (inadvertently?) Earthlink mail somehow? I'm pretty sure TCH doesn't like/do that, but just wanted to let people know. TCH-Rob Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 In general, we do not go out and block an entire ISP. I would open a ticket and explain it to them and see what they come up with. Quote
likoma Posted July 27, 2005 Author Posted July 27, 2005 Thanks. I didn't think you did block sites, I was also just putting out the note in the forum to see if anyone else was having the problem. I'll submit a ticket. Thanks. - Bradley Quote
