Secret Agent Man Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Hello all! I have a website that is a directory of martial arts schools. I create an individual page for each listing. Right now I use a form that imports the submitter's info into MySQL and then generate a php page to pull the info out in the listing. Since many of the listings submitted have spelling errors and also sometimes not appropriate for a listing, I usually go over each one in an attempt to clean it up. This worked for a little while, but I have been severely backed up for quite some time. You can take a look at my site here: http://www.MartialDirect.com I am considering either using a content management system, or using a less stringent criteria on posting my listings. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can resolve this? Is there an open source content management system that would do what I need? Maybe a better scripting method to deal with posting the listings? I know just about enough to get me in trouble, so any help would be greatly appreciated. One thing I'm worried about with a content management system is how it will affect my search engine rankings? My site isn't a huge pull, but it doesn't do too bad, either. TIA Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Welcome to the forums. You should be able to find something that works for you at www.hotscripts.com Maybe a classifieds script would work for you. Quote
Secret Agent Man Posted July 25, 2005 Author Posted July 25, 2005 Thanks for the welcome, guys! Bruce, I have looked at some of the scripts before at hotscripts.com. Tried a couple, but nothing to my liking. Is there any in particular I should look at? Quote
