llama_thumper Posted May 16, 2003 Posted May 16, 2003 i'm trying to make my life easier by being able to run scripts on the server... not that i know a lot ... but: when i access it and try to run a conf.pl file (in squirrel mail) i get the following: sh: ./conf.pl: /usr/bin/env: bad interpreter: Permission denied any ideas anyone? many thanks! KevinW Posted May 17, 2003 Posted May 17, 2003 I might suggest a different approach. In the Squirrel Mail README file it says: c. Setting up SquirrelMail There are two ways to configure Squirrelmail. In the config/ directory, there is a perl script called conf.pl that will aid you in the configuration process. This is the recommended way of handling the config. You can also copy the config/config_default.php file to config/config.php and edit that manually. When I installed SquirrelMail on a site a few months ago, I did the 2nd option - editing the config.php manually. It was fairly painless, as there were only a couple of lines that needed editing in order to get it up and running. -kw Quote
llama_thumper Posted May 17, 2003 Author Posted May 17, 2003 thanks, but i'd like to configure a load of plugins too, and it just seems a lot easier to do it the first way... hence i'm looking for a way to do it that way. i did configure things the second way, the first time i did it, but it's just a pain... any alternatives? Larry Posted May 17, 2003 Posted May 17, 2003 yeah.. since that script your running isnt a shell script.. you need to run it correctly you should be typing in "perl conf.pl" it is a perl script afterall Quote
KevinW Posted May 17, 2003 Posted May 17, 2003 Hey, llama -- see if Larry's suggestion works for you (perl conf.pl) - if it does, please let us know -I'd be happy to update the TCH help web site accordingly! kw Quote
