Deverill Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 I have run into this several times over the past few weeks and thought I'd share it with the Family in case any of you have the same problem and wondered if it had anything to do with TCH (it doesn't!). One of my clients has an AOL account and likes it and won't get rid of it for a better ISP. In an effort to provide him what he wants, I forward email from his domain here at TCH to my Gmail account and then filters there forward to AOL. The problem is that I keep getting errors saying that delivery to the aol address failed permanently. In order to not let this turn into an AOL bash, which I am tempted to do, I will simply say that if you are getting these errors read the below links. The bottom line is that when a site is listed by AOL (who has sloppy procedures in my opinion) and an email is sent to an AOL user referring to such a site, that email will get blocked, the user knows nothing about it and the sender thinks it's just a bad address. If you have any friends using AOL you may want to warn them about this and that they may be missing emails even if their spam settings are turned off.
