Daya Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 I'm interested in developing a web site for my home yoga studio. I have played with the free web building Trellix on Earthlink's site and found it pretty self explanatory but I want a site that has my business name as its name so... here I am. My question is what help do you have for me in building my site. Nothing elaborate but a template that I can follow with enough options to make my site look less than "homemade" Thanks Daya Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Hi and welcome to the forum, Daya. While TCH don´t have any templates or services for the webdesign part itself, there is several thousands of people here willing to help you with any problem you might have. Also, I read that you have used Trellix. Perhaps you would want to have a look at CuteSite Builder, which is "the new name" for the Trellix program, you can find it here. Quote
TCH-Don Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Welcome to the forums, Daya Do you have enough experience with html to modify an html page? Quote

TCH-RobertM Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Hello Dayna, First Welcome to the Family and forums. For your question "Can I somehow transfer the web page I build there to your site?" The best way would be to just publish the same site you published to your Earthlink account to your account here with TCH. If your Earthlink Account gave you access with Cpanel then you could open a ticket with our support desk and have us try and transfer the account for you. I am thinking though that you were using the webspace that Earthink provided you because you use them as your ISP. so it is doubtful that you were given CPANEL to manage the site. On your welcome email you were given and IP address and username as well as you registered a domain name. You can simply set it up to FTP / or Publish to the Hosting package you purchased with TCH If you have problems just let us know and we will be glad to assist where we can. Quote
Daya Posted July 5, 2005 Author Posted July 5, 2005 Hello Dayna, First Welcome to the Family and forums. Robert- I am very new at having a web site and am not clear when you talk about CPANEL what you mean. You are right in thinking Earthlink is my ISP provider. I am satisfied with what they are providing. Trellix allowed me to build a web site that is simple and fits me needs. My only issue is I cannot have a domain name that is my business name YOGA in the Hood. I am beginning to talk with others about what I am trying to do and someone suggested that I could have my domain name and that it would forward visitors to my Earthlink web site. Is this possible and can I do it through an account with total choice hosting? Thanks for your help. Daya Quote
