sdf Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Hello. Here's what I need: To use my current PayPal account along with a 3rd part shopping cart solution (which one, I have no idea!) which will enable me (well, the programmer really) the ability to calculate shipping by weight. And to make things more interesting I'm shipping FROM Brazil. So, rates will be from the Brazilian post office and will have to be converted to US dollars in the process. I've seen a site that does this (minus the PayPal part, so I know it can be done). To add to the mix, I'm also thinking of putting my site into a CMS as well. One friend recommended Mambo (CMS) with a component called phpshop. Does anyone here familiary with TCH and shopping carts have an opinion. I know that OSCommerce is compatible with PayPal and is offered at TCH. But don't know if it can be customized to do what I need. Please help! Thanks in advance, Scott Quote
sdf Posted June 25, 2005 Author Posted June 25, 2005 I posted this in the running your online business TCH forum and didn't get single response. So, I'm trying again here. Sorry for posting twice, but I'm tired of waiting..... TCH-Rob Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 Scott, The hard part is we have few people from Brazil so I cant give an accurate answer. I believe osCommerce will do the trick for you however I cant promise that there is a shipping calculator that works for your country. Have you gone to the osCommerce site to look at the shipping modules for it and see if there is a Brazilian shipping module. Heck, for all I know you won't even need it and can run it right out of the box. I am sorry you did not get an answer before but it might be because no one has the answer. Quote
