amansker Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 A search resulted in confilicting information. Can anyone confirm, for certain, that SPAM Assassin reviews mail that goes to a forwarder? Or do forwarders bypass the process? Quote
Deverill Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 My understanding is that the forwarders grab the mail before Spam Assassin gets a shot at it, but I am not positive on that. Someone should be by soon with a definitive answer... the techs don't get to visit the forums as much as us mods so that's probably why no one has said for sure. Quote
amansker Posted June 23, 2005 Author Posted June 23, 2005 I think you must be right. We are having a major issue with SPAM on one account with 10 forwarders and changing SA does not seem to have any impact. Hopefully someone can confirm it. Quote
TCH-Don Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 I just looked at an e-mail that is sent to forward the headers show SpamAssassin scores I set up forwards for newsletters that are forwarded to an account at my site. I think if you just forward to an outside account, SpamAssassin may not come into play. Quote
amansker Posted June 23, 2005 Author Posted June 23, 2005 I have SA set at 4 and it is not marking any of the forwarded emails. I'll just assume it does not work with forwarders. Quote
