robbe17 Posted April 29, 2003 Posted April 29, 2003 Hi, I know people are probably sick of MT posts, but I've read through them all as well as uploaded the files through the control panel to make sure all my permissions were correct, etc. These are my database settings: ObjectDriver DBI::mysql Database secondt_blog DBUser secondt_robber My password is set correctly but it still says: Got an error: Connection error: Access denied for user: 'secondt_robber@localhost' to database 'secondt_blog' when I load mt.cgi. Thank you so much for any help you could offer, Robbe Quote
TCH-Rick Posted April 29, 2003 Posted April 29, 2003 Go into your cPanel and to the Manage MySQL. Double check that secondt_robber is listed in the Users in secondt_blog database. If not you need to add that user to the database. The MT commands look fine as far as connecting to the database. I'll be in later tonight if you still have problems and can look at it further. Quote
robbe17 Posted April 30, 2003 Author Posted April 30, 2003 Actually, I already did that. Thank you for your response. I look forward to your next one. Quote
TCH-Rick Posted May 1, 2003 Posted May 1, 2003 You should be good to go. Give me a shout if you need help getting the blog config figured out. MT is a bit picky at first but once you play with it a little I think you will like it. Quote
