Hey TCHer's

I created an autoresponder but I didn't find where it tells how I add it one of my pages.

Can anyone shed some light on that for me?

thanks

Hi Mike -

I may be missing something here, but 'adding an autoresponder to one of your pages' doesn't make sense to me. Autoresponders send automatic replies from e-mail accounts. For example, if you go on vacation, you can set up an autoresponder while you're gone, and for each e-mail that comes into the autoresponder's e-mail address, it can automatically send a reply back that says "I'm out of the office until xx/xx/xxxx", so the person sending the e-mail will know not to expect a response right away.

Maybe you're wanting a script that can e-mail you a filled out form that is on one of your pages?? :thumbup1:

Yes, but they can also be used to answer questions about a product you may be selling.

I thought there might be a way to place it on a page saying, i.e., " enter any questions you have here" sort of thing.

I've seen them on other pages.;

Not the ones provided by cPanel. They are tied to an email address as David said. Their primary use is to inform someone that sends you mail that you received the email and will respond later.

That said, you can get creative and have canned responses for questions you post on your website that would send a response to them if you code the url to send mail to the responder you create.

As for them asking questions you would need some sort of database running in the background that could scan the query and send a solution.

Ok, I get it.

So then I could put a mailto tag on the page that would send their question to me and I would in turn send the answer.

That should work alright. No? :rolleyes:
