Hello,

I'm having problems with my current host and thinking of switching to your service.

I have two custom domains and cannot find information regarding the price per domain. Also, do you have awstats?

I run a wordpress blog. It looks like you support the old version, but do you support v1.5?

What is the response time to trouble tickets? My site is down with my current provider right now because of a problem with mysql and I cannot get in touch with anyone directly. I have to send an email and wait.

Thank you,

~Jaxia

Hi and welcome to the forum

If you already have registered your own domain you will not need to pay to use it on TCH only the hosting (from $4 per year).

Also, do you have awstats?

Yes.

While TCH does not support any scripts (as in helping out), you should be able to run any version on the TCH-servers. However if you ever run in to any problems with wordpress there are several people here who will gladly help you.

I can´t give you any times, but from my own experience it usually wont take any longer than 30 minutes for the first response from the help desk. All you need to do is to submit a ticket by either click the link on top of all pages in this forum or you can visit tchhelp.com. Or you can try out any of the other alternatives found here.

Any other questions, don´t hesitate to ask.

Hi and thanks for the welcome :thumbup1:

Just to make sure I understand...

I can have www.**** and www.myotherdomain.com with no additional fees?

I realize the host shouldn't "support" wordpress. Wrong word. Sorry. Heh. I was looking for things like mod_rewrite, .htaccess and stuff like that. Sorry for the confusion!

Thanks for the help!

On a virtual hosting account you may host one or several domains as long they point to same root directory (this is called parking).

If you wish to have domain a point to one thing and domain b point to something else (a subdomain for instance) you will need a reseller account.

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean by "parking."

I own 2 domains and they are totally different. One is not a mirror of the other.

Do you mean that in order to have two domains (NOT submain.****) I have to pay approx $20/mo?

On a virtual hosting account, you can have only one domain per account. As TCH-Thomas noted, reseller hosting accounts allow for more than one domain per account (but at a higher cost, as you have noticed).

Since you have only two domains though, I'd probably recommend buying two virtual hosting accounts (one for each of your domains), which could be purchased for a total cost as low as $8 per month.

Hmm.

Have they looked at doing an addon for that? Between the two sites, I don't even use 1gb of traffic a month or 50 MB of storage. It is hard for me to justify two accounts. I cannot afford to double my monthly output to host some family pictures and stupid ramblings :thumbup1:

Thanks for the prompt responses. If I can ever need that much bandwidth, I'll keep you in mind.

Welcome to the forums, Jaxia :thumbup1:

Add on domains has been discussed over and over at length here. I don't see it changing. One domain per virtual hosting account.

Well, now I have another problem.

I tried to sign up for an account, but it tells me that it thinks I am trying to commit fraud. It gives me a link to submit a ticket. The link requires a cpanel user name and password to submit the ticket.

How can I submit a ticket if I cannot get through billing?

Thanks,

I have a couple more questions.

Do you allow f open?

How does a reseller account work with custom domains? How many custom domains (not subdomains) can I have with a reseller account? I looked at the info on the main page, but it didn't help me.

Thank you!

Hi and welcome to the forum. :notworthy:

I can´t answer the f open question but as for the domains, you can have as many as you like in a reseller account. It´s all up to you as long you don´t assign them more disc space and bandwidth than your reseller account allow.

I guess I am trying to understand how it works. The reseller info page says I can have unlimited SUBdomains, but I don't see where it says I can have unlimited domains.

(Anybody know about fopen? Some of my php scripts use it)

Thanks!

Should I host all my accounts on TCH?

You will never find another host as fast, family oriented, or most importantly quick to point out when they are wrong. The service I have received since signing up is phenomenal. Any support you need is answered promptly. I once submitted a help desk ticket on lowest priority for a problem that was my stupid fault and they still responded within 1 hour and actually checked to see if it was a TCH problem. I had forgot to change the .JPG to .jpg again and they were very understanding about me wasting their time. I had been with another company that wanted to charge me for asking stupid questions. Support thru these forums also is second to none. Alot of times when I search for a problem thru yahoo or google I find links to these forums. LOL I now come here first then go to search engine.

fopen is supported.

As for unlimited domains, you can host as many domains as you wish as long as they do not exceed your reseller account space and bandwidth.
