I am planning on using a content management system for my website that requires PHP and MySQL. My question is simple: I know that TCH "supports" both, but does it actually provide them, or do I need to download one (or both of them) in order to use the CMS.

The system in question is Textpattern, by the way.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Welcome to the forums! You won't need them as David said unless you want to test your site on your system before uploading to the TCH server.

Thanks for the speedy response, guys. Could you do one more thing and offer some advice or perhaps point me to a tutorial on how to set up a MySQL database through my cPanel?

Thanks again,

Matt
