flakcatcher Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 I am planning on using a content management system for my website that requires PHP and MySQL. My question is simple: I know that TCH "supports" both, but does it actually provide them, or do I need to download one (or both of them) in order to use the CMS. The system in question is Textpattern, by the way. Thanks in advance for the help. -Matt Quote
TweezerMan Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 Welcome to the forums, Matt! MySQL and PHP are both provided on TCH's servers - you do not need to download or install either one. Quote
stevevan Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 Welcome to the forums! You won't need them as David said unless you want to test your site on your system before uploading to the TCH server. Quote
flakcatcher Posted April 5, 2005 Author Posted April 5, 2005 Thanks for the speedy response, guys. Could you do one more thing and offer some advice or perhaps point me to a tutorial on how to set up a MySQL database through my cPanel? Thanks again, Matt Quote
TCH-Don Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 Welcome Matt try three easy steps to MySql or this movie on creating a database. Quote
