i just ordered total choice hosting and domain name when will i be notified when the site is ready to be made? by email or something thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum

 

You will receive an welcome email when your hosting space is activated. It will contain all the info you need (or if it doesn´t come and ask here in the forum).

Please note though that if you used for example hotmail when you signed up, these free emails services tends to sort the welcome emails a little strange, so be sure to check the junk/spam folder.

 

Also, don´t forget to pop in to introductions forum for a formal welcome.

thanks whats the longest it could take an email to arrive? i looked for 3 hours then found this hosting site and made my mind up...its very nice thanks tiffany

I believe it can take up to 24 hours but I can be wrong about that. In my own experience it goes much faster though.

Welcome to the forums and family. Setup is a lot faster than it used to be, but it's not instant. If you don't hear anything after 24 hours, contact the Help Desk (link above) for assistance.

It has always been handled faster than that for me too, but I suppose it depends on the work load at TCH.

 

You need to remember, that it will take up to 72 hours for your domain name to propogate on the internet, so your site may not be accessible at the domain name until sometime Monday. (Nothing can make that go faster.)

It normally only takes a few hours after TCH receives the payment.

Be sure to save all e-mails from TCH and from where you paid.

As others have said, it can take up to 24 hours before your account is set up, but hopefully it won't be nearly that long. When I signed up at TCH, I think I received my welcome e-mail within an hour or two.
