Wdrp Please Verify Contact Data?

I got an email today for one of the domains I have a website on (it's my brother's site actually). Anyway... I have never heard of such a thing as a letter to verify this domain info. Is this legitimate?

 

Here is the letter they sent:

This message is a reminder to help you keep the contact data associated with your domain registration up-to-date.
