Ahovi Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 I'm really at my wits' end here with a webmail problem. Can anybody help? My problem happens when trying to send email from my Squirrelmail webmail. I get this error code every single time (changed the specs for privacy): Syntax error in parameters or arguments Server replied: 501 <me+mybusiness.com@$host>: domain missing or malformed This happens both at home and at work, with two different computers and ISPs. I have been in contact with support, they claim that they can send email just fine. I see that they have, because I can see it in the Sent folder. Anybody? I would so appreciate it, I am on the verge of tears because I really need webmail (this is my small business)! Thanks! Anna Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 Hi Anna, It sounds like it may be something between your isp and your server according to this page: http://www.mailsbroadcast.com/email.bolts&...codes.error.htm It says: 501 Syntax error in parameters or argumentsIndicates possible poor (noisy dialup) or an intermittent drop in network line connection that caused your mail client to send erroneous command to the mail server. Ahovi Posted April 1, 2005 Author Posted April 1, 2005 Hi Thomas, thanks so much for your help! I just realised that the ISP actually is the same for me both at home and at work. They aren't under the same contract of course, at work it is a company network and at home a private broadband, but it is the same ISP all the same. Maybe there is something wrong with their configurations. I must send a query. Although I wonder why support doesn't try to help like you did, they only keep saying that "there is nothing wrong with your webmail" and offer no further help, even though I am desperate. Quote

We are one big family here and try to help out the family members as best we can! Quote
