weiser Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Hi TCH Family I am sure this is an easy one, but I have no idea how to solve it. I want to create a customized 404 page. I went to the "Error Pages" section of Control Panel and to the 404 part. Then it shows some tags to be inserted - inserted where (no jokes please I use CuteSiteBuilder for my site. After creating the customized 404 page, how do I direct the users (that tried a wrong page) to the customized page? What do I do with those tags? Thanks for your help. TCH-Thomas Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Hi Sergio, If you use CSB I think the easiest is to do the following: 1) Create a page in CSB as usual and name it error404. Then in extension set it to html (default is htm). 2) Enter your cpanel and add this to your .htaccess: ErrorDocument 404 http://www.example.com/error404.html NOTE: Edit the url in above quote to the location of your error404.html Hope this helps Quote

All I did was I went to my cpanel, clicked on error files, opened error404.htm rewrote it, and then sdaved in, to see mine go to. www.jaysarahandy.com/photos, and when it ask you for a password, just click cancel. I never touched my .htacess file Quote
