Been wanting to have a web site for some time, and after looking around , decided to select totalchoice. I've just completed purchasing my domain name by clicking on your link , and now need to get the site set up. However, I am a little puzzled because it would appear that i will have to pay yet another $10.95 to use it for webhosting. Is this correct? How do I get my hosting set up, and will I really have to pay again?

Hi and welcoem to the forums :),

Yes, hosting and domain registering is two different things (2 costs).

If you are talking about the prices on the TCH website, they are

Hosting: from $4 per month.

Domain: $10.95 per year.

maybe I'm just thick :-). yes i understand i have to pay the monthly/annual hosting charge, but do I still have to pay a further $10.95 to use my newly purchased domain name on it?

No, not if you already have one. ;)

Just ask your registrar to point it to the nameservers listed in your welcome email you recieve after an eventual purchase of hosting. :)

Edit: I just noticed my typo in the welcome. My apologies for that.
