ozsilk Posted April 24, 2003 Posted April 24, 2003 Hi, I am looking at TCH reseller options to host a number of sites using webapp as their portal/cms of choice. I posted in the scripting section about this so won't repeat the query here. I am interested in the CPanel options from a client viewpoint. Does Java Chat, phpBB2, Invision Board and the shopping cart come with the client control panel as well as the WHM? With the change of server what is the impact of domain based email on the other server - do clients need to reset their email accounts once domains are redelegated? Many thanks Quote
Lianna Posted April 24, 2003 Posted April 24, 2003 Maybe it's just too early in the morning for me, but I'm a bit confused by your questions. WHM is not available to your clients. That is the Web Host Manager console that YOU will be using to setup and manage your resold accounts. Your clients never see that app. They do see cPanel and that is their console for setup and maintenance of their site and email, etc. phpBB and many other features that come with cPanel have their own Admin panel. I think this is what you are talking about. When the feature is installed by the client via cPanel, there will directions for access the admin panel. With the change of server... What change of server? Do you mean when the Name Servers are changed for a domain so that it points to TCH? Although the emails are domain-based as you say, they will need to be created on the TCH servers through cPanel. Then when the name servers are changed the email transition becomes a bit less noticable...maybe. I say that because Outlook Express, or other email client, may have to be set up or modified to the settings TCH requires. Quote
