DarqFlare Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Just a heads-up... http://www.handybackup.com/ I'm probably one of the many people that get sick of having to make sure certain files are updates across two computer systems. My problem is that I need the My Docs folder on my desktop and laptop synced up 100% with the exact same files on each, so when I'm hone I can work on desktop, and when I'm about I can use my laptop and still use the same updated files. I found this thing called Handy Backup that actually does quite a bit more than what I'm using it for... But basically, all I do is turn it on and run a synchronize command, and it updates files on the two computers in the My Docs folder on each, keeping the newest file when the exact same file exist in both folders... While certain scenarios exist where you'll want to keep the oldest, you can do those manually... But this thing is great for what I'm using it for. It's $30 to register I believe, and I'm still on free trial, but I'm almost ready to pony up the cash, because it's already saved me headaches. Oh, and it works with FTP too... A good idea if you have multiple people working on your TCH site! Quote
