I upgraded my Movable Type today from 3.01D to 3.15

It all appeared to go successfully, until I tried to do just about anything in MT. Now it gives me this error:

"start_end_week_from_week_num" is not exported by the MT::Util module Can't continue after import errors at lib/MT/Template/Context.pm line 9 BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at lib/MT/Template/Context.pm line 14. Compilation failed in require at lib/MT.pm line 581.

Any ideas?

You're getting the error because you did not successfully upgrade (overwrite) [mt.cgi dir]/lib/MT/Template/Context.pm when you upgraded - MT is still trying to use the 3.01D version of that file. You need to re-upload the MT 3.15 version of that file.

Thanks for all the welcomes.

Tweezer, I'll give that a shot.

I was using SmartFTP to copy and over-write all the new files (FTP-ing from the uncompressed upgrade file on my computer, to my MT dir on the TCH server), but it's hard to tell if it works fully, and I couldn't find the actual command in SmartFTP, so I just did a drag and drop.

Is there a simple way, through the C-Panel or FTP to uncompress the upgrade file and have it copy and replace all the new files and nested directories that it needs to (preferably all at the same time?)?

Thanks again.

look at the compressed file to see the folder structure in it.

If it contains the files and folders that are inside of your Mt install

then you can upload it with filemanager to that folder and select it and at the right select extract

it will extract and replace the files and the files inside the folders.

This will be much faster than ftp.

Hmmm, I thought I tried that and it just created a directory with the name of the compressed file and then uncompressed all the contents into that new directory.

Do I need to be outside of the mt directory and rename the file mt, the same name as the directory if I want it to expand into that one?

without seeing that compressed file for my self

and not knowing MT

I can't answer that, but I am sure the MT users will.

But in ftp to be sure you are replacing a file

try deleting it on your site with the ftp program first,

then drag the replacement over.
