Is There Way To Have An Email Sent To You When

I thought I had read/heard somewhere that there is a way to have an email sent to you when your site goes down. Maybe it was a script that monitors your site or it could have been another site that monitors your site...

 

Sound familiar to anyone?

You can goto the forum for your server and subscribe to it

then you will get an e-mail if there is an announcement of any problems for that server,

that is prividing you are not using an e-mail address at your site to receive e-mails from this forum.

Do you happen to know how often the check the server? Are emails sent out immediately?

If there is a problem and one of the staff posts in the forum for the server anyone subscribed to the forum receives email minutes later.
