I am trying to run one domain http://put_your_domain.com from an installation of EE on another domain http;//put_your_domain2.com. EE says this is possible but when I try it I get the following error message:

Disallowed file extension

I've checked the script a dozen times and don't think that is the issue.

This is what I have:

>$system_path = "http://put_your_domain2.com/systemopr/";

$template_group = "mainpage";
$template = "index";
$site_url = "http://put_your_domain1.com";
$site_index = "index.php";
$site_404 = "";

Have you experienced this issue before?

Thanks

Rao, welcome to the family!

I'm with Thomas, here.

I don't use EE, so I can't do much except to guess about the possible source of the problem: is EE expecting to have that $system_path in the same filesystem, so it can do something like include($system_path."/somefile.php");? If so, that's the source of the problem, because including a PHP file via an HTTP URL does not provide PHP with that file source code. Read my post on this thread to learn more about this.

Hi LJ, thanks for the advice. I've gone through all of the EE documentation. My snag is determining the relative path from domain 1 to domain 2. TCH is helping with that. I'll try again when I have that info.
