hey all-

trying to move from horde to thunderbird, primarily because we dont want to waste the server space w/ old emails. i can get thunderbird set up to get incoming and send outgoing emails. but i cannot figure out how to get thunderbird to see my old folders, like "sent-mail", "sent-mail-jun-2004", etc...

anyone have any luck w/ this?

thanks in advance!

Since you're saying you don't want to waste your account space with old e-mails, I'm assuming you will be downloading them via POP. If this is the case, I don't think you can make Thunderbird (or any other POP mail client) see other folders other than the default inbox.

This is just a wild idea but maybe you could use Thunderbird to access the other folders via IMAP, save them locally and then change Thunderbird to POP again.

Or you could move all emails that are in other horde folders to the inbox. This should be able to be done in horde. Then use thunderbird to pop-download them in to thunderbirds inbox. Even if they are read in the webmail they can be downloaded to thunderbird.

Then in thunderbird, create all the subfolders and move them from inbox to the correct folders.
