I have another web site with tch and have been thrilled with your prices and excellent customer service, so I want to have you host this site too. How do I transfer my domain to you without losing the name? And at what point do I register the hosting with you...before or after my other hosting expires? Thanks so much! Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Hi and welcome to your extended family I know there are some tricky rules with transferring an almost expired domain, so I will have to let someone else answer that. But for the hosting, I think the best is to get either a second account or a reseller account with TCH before the other one expires so the site will not have to be down. But what to do with the domain I can unfortunately not say. Quote
TCH-Dick Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 All you need to do with the domain name is renew it, then once you have a hosting account set up for it here change the name servers at the place you have it registered to point to our name server ns1.totalchoicehosting.com and ns2.totalchoicehosting.com Most registrars wont allow you to transfer a domain when it is within 30 days of expiring, or if it has been renewed for less than 30 days.
