Transfer Email > New Server

Hi,

 

I am going to transfer one of my sites to a new TCH account... however, i have a lot of email sitting on my old server, and want to get it onto the new one...

 

Can i just copy over the .neomail-chris folder, which has an "INBOX.DB" to the new TCH account to move all the mail sitting on my old server to the new one, or do i have to get stuff from elsewhere?

Sorry, dont know if you can. But does the old site have cpanel?

yer, it has cpanel - can i do it via that?

Then the techs should be able to transfer it all to a TCH server without you loosing anything. Please open a tech ticket and ask, but I think it should work.

Its not on a TCH server at the minute tho

 

Am i missing something? Is there an "export mail" button or something in cpanel?

Actually, i have just seen on FTP there is a "mail" directory, which has a folder for each of my mail accounts with an "inbox" file... do you recon copying that would do it?

If you open a help desk ticket, we can attempt to copy the complete account over it is is currently using cpanel - this means email accounts, emails, databases as well as all files.

 

Alternatively, you can backup the files and restore them here. Copying the files over should work, but you will need to maintain the correct permissions etc. on the files.

No, seriously, they have transferred a lot of the bloghosts refugees, so they can try to transfer it from whatever part of the world (as I understands), just as long its with cpanel.
