borfast Posted January 6, 2005 Posted January 6, 2005 You know me, I just couldn't let this slip by... From Slashdot: Lots of submissions this morning about Bill Gates' performance at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show. His Media Center PC presentation crashed. (The presentation is online.) Then he gave an interview to CNET, where he described anyone who doesn't support ever-increasing intellectual property laws as "communists". Boingboing has some commentary on that interview as well. They're so bad at writing programs that their software crashes even in an important show such as this one... and they want me to pay for their products? Only their mice... Mr. Gates, that's the second time your products crash while you're demonstrating them. I wonder if it will take a third time for you to do something about it... The part about the communists is quite interesting, too. If not for anything else, it demonstrates how ignorant Mr. Gates is regarding Free software and the philosophy behind it Quote
HCSuperStores Posted January 6, 2005 Posted January 6, 2005 All the Linux users in the world smirk. Although I probably give Billy a little more breathing room than than the world press will, the circumstances are still rather humbling and good for a little laugh. Who doesn't want the big bad bully of the IT world to trip over a crack in the sidewalk every now and then, even if it only wounds his pride? Good post Raul! Quote
