shawnhbk Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 how many domain names can you have with the $4 a month plan? Quote
LisaJill Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 Unlimited pointing to the root of your domain. You can't point domains to subsections of your site. Quote
jme574 Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 shawnhbk, are you wanting to know how many different domains you can have pointing to different sites or all the domains pointing to the one site? As Lisa has said you can "point" unlimited domains but i believe that you can not have any other "add-on" domains pointing to different sites with that account. At least with my $4.00 account i can't have any add-ons unless the recently changed something . Quote

Are you saying I can't point products to www.mycompany/product.com and service to www.mycompany/service.com? I thought I read somewhere else on your site that the above was fine as long as all pages were in the same format. Quote
LisaJill Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 No, that would be against the Acceptable Use policy unless you have a reseller account. Otherwsie they'd both have to point to www.mycompany. Quote

junkked Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 Hi I just asked a similar question about parking pages. So its ok to park a page as long as it points to the index page? But is it ok to to display a for sale message or parked meesage when the root index opens ? not going to a sub folder' junkked ps you answered about 2/3rds of my other post are you PHSYicic?? Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 Can you explain the difference between a reseller account and a regular account? With a Reseller account you can add additional domains to your account. You create packages similar to your regular account. You specify how much disk space, email accounts, ftp accounts, bandwidth, etc... the account you create can use. You cannot allocate more diskspace or bandwidth than your reseller account has. Quote

All domains must be pointed to the root and may not be redirected per our AUP. Quote
LisaJill Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 If you have www.domain.com and you're not ready to open - it's totally allowed to post a "coming soon" type page. However, cybersquatting (holding on to a domain for the purpose of selling it to its more legitimate owner) is not allowed as it breaks the law, and therefore also breaks our AUP. Quote
