I am working with FrontPage - I am close to finishing one of the sites and am still working on the other. I have not yet purchased domain names. I have no idea what I need. How do I determine disk space? What the heck is bandwidth, and how do I know what I need? What are domain pointers, FTP Accounts, etc., etc., etc. . . . it is like a foreign language to me!! At one time in my life, I was a computer programmer (in the dark ages when we had punch cards and dailup modems!!!!!), but now I feel so lost! Help bring me back to the New Age!! I would start with one account for the site that is almost ready, and publish it now to see if it looks the way you want. As to space and bandwidth. The starter account has 450 megs of space, which is more than most sites will ever use. The bandwidth, is any traffic to and from your space, including when you publish your pages and images with frontpage and when a visitor views your pages and images. It also includes e-mail or any thing that causes activity to or from your space. Again the starter plan allows 10 gigabytes of traffic, more than most sites will use. You can use frontpage or an ftp program to upload your pages and images. ftp is short for file transfer protocall or a method of sending files to your space or retrieving them to your computer. The domain pointer (DNS) is when you do get your domain name, you will log into the domain control page provided by your registar, and change the DNS to the nameservers given to you in your welcome e-mail. This is as easy as clicking on change DNS, and pasting the nameservers ns1.totalchoicehosting.com and ns2.totalchoicehosting.com into the place provided. Then your domain name will take visitor to your space here. You can register the domainname anywhere or here. Don't worry about not following it all at once, we will help as you need it.
