Invision Board: Outputting Login And Pms

For IPB v1.3 Final

 

I'd like to have on my main index page the Login screen (welcome message if already logged in) and also if any private messages to display as well on my main page.

 

Is there an SSI for this or has someone already created a hack to do this?

That looked like a basic entrance page to IPS... lol... Not much help there or on the official forums since they cater to licensed users only as well.

Humm.... sorry about that. That site (ibforums) used to be a great resource for finding IPB stuff. Guess that now that IPB is no longer free, they decided to cut people off from any free resources, too... too bad, they could win a lot of customers (people using IPB 1.3 who would upgrade to 2.0) but this way it's more likely they'll lose them, by trying to force them to upgrade... :\

You're absolutely correct, Raul. I'm sure they lost quite a bit of people. There are still some unofficial IPB support forums out there that cater to the trial version ppl. As we saw, Thomas pointed out a couple. I'm in shock that you can't even download the free trials anymore. Those who got the 2.0 trial version when it was first released were lucky. I wasn't one of them... lol

EDIT: I just noticed from the forums upgrade thread you were able to get the free trial of 2.0, Raul! Wish they didn't discontinue that. They should do like some software people and have the current version chargable and the previous version free. Every time they come out with a new release, charge a license fee (to those downloading it for first time - free to the paying customers) and make the previous version a free download. That makes more sense to me. And might even get ppl to pay for the upgrades.

Yes, I did get the 2.0 trial. Unfortunately I installed it and deleted the downloaded package

 

Anyway, you can still get a trial version but it's encoded with Zend Encoder or IonCube and has a bunch of limitations.

I found a couple Website Integration Mods, but am having a hard time getting them to work, so am still on the look out if anyone can help.

More babbling. Is it safe to try and use IPB SDK? Few scripts in there that do what I want.

I can try to repackage it and send it to you, if you want (although I don't know if that violates any part of the original trial agreement) but I don't think you'll have much success installing it, since the install directory is gone

 

As for the IPB SDK, I have no idea, I didn't even knew there was one available

If I can help TCH out, the better. Glad I could help! I installed the SDK version for 1.* (there's a special one available for 2.0) and I have gotten exactly what I was looking for in my first post in this thread.
