scutchen Posted December 14, 2004 Posted December 14, 2004 I have a new site that I pointed DNS at today. Email is already going there. I'm able to configure a forwarding rule to get to mail, but I cannot seem to check email from my email client. Site is http://www.pearlandjrs.com I'm using Mac OS X 10.3.5, Mail POP: mail.pearlandjrs.com I must have a config error or something... I get a request for a password, and when I enter the one that I put in with CPanel, it doesn't take. (This password is also hard-coded in my Mail preferences for this mail account...) Help! I've got users that cannot get to the old server 'cause it's redirected here, and can't get to mail at TCH Quote
TCH-Don Posted December 14, 2004 Posted December 14, 2004 I checked several whois places and you are still showing zoneedit nameservers on a few. It can take up to 72 hours for the DNS to propagate. Quote
scutchen Posted December 14, 2004 Author Posted December 14, 2004 I figured it out. The problem I was having was with mail that was coming to TCH (not a DNS timing issue)... I knew this 'cause I have a forwarding rule to send it all to my Earthlink account. There was mail showing up at TCH and I couldn't log in to get it. But I knew MY DNS was pointing to TCH 'cause I get the web site there. My problem was that I had configured the User Name of the mail client as 'username' rather than 'username@pearlandjrs.com' I'm up and running now... Quote
