Shtml Wont Work

i am using a random text generator for my index page. whenever i get everything squared up and rename my index.html to index.shtml, it wont load. i get an access forbidden error in my web browser. i even tried using the TCH random html generator and still the same thing! it said in the script to make sure my page ends in shtm or shtml, but it wont work whenever i rename the file shtml. the page loads when i rename it back, but i dont get the random text.

 

please help me...

Can you copy the file to the .shtml (rather than renaming it) and can you give us a link? If it's an inapropriate link for the family forum, then please PM me with the link.

 

I would also have a look in teh error log (in cpanel) and see what messages it gives.
