rojo Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 Hello, Using Spam Assassin I set my "required_score" to 1 (also tried 1.0), but any changes I make to this field seem to have no effect. I took a look at the user_prefs in my .spamassassin folder and it indicates the following: required_score 1.0 yet I am still getting spam indicating the following in my emails: Content analysis details: (12.3 points, 5.0 required) It is still indicating 5.0 which was my original setting and no matter what I change it to in spam assassin it still comes back as 5.0. Should this not be a 1.0??? My version of spam assassing is as follows: Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.63 (2004-01-11) on server63.totalchoicehosting.com Thanks for your help. John Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 Please open a Help Desk ticket. Sounds like a configuration error. Version 2.63 it was called required_hits. In version 3.0 it's called required_score I believe. But support would be able to verify. Quote
btrfld Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 Hi John. I have the same problem with spamassassin on my sites. The problem seems to be that cPanel is configured asif the server had spamassassin 3.0, when in fact on my server it's SA 2.63. You can work around it by applying rules for both versions. You have to do it by editing user_prefs: required_score 1 required_hits 1 Quote
