I was logged into both of these (2 windows open). I tried to open a 3rd window by clicking on the email icon in cpanel and lost that screen. Then I tried to open up the public_html folder in file manager and I lost that screen. Now I cannot log in by typing ****/cpanel. What's up with this? I have been on this for several hours reading here on the forums and doing other work. I just don't understand why I cannot access my cpanel.

I also have not been able to access my web mail at all, ever, since getting this account. I have opened neomail and squirrel mail several times but both of them always show no mail. This weekend I have been away from my desktop PC (where my Outlook downloads via pop3). This means that I have at least 2 digests sitting at tch servers waiting for me to use Outlook to retrieve them OR view them via web mail. But web mail shows me nothing. I know there are 2 digests because I subscribe to a forum like this and I know it has been very active this weekend.

I must be doing something wrong.... but I have experience with Earthlink, gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc. Doesn't seem that difficult but I still, I find no mail.

Any help for me?

Any hope for me?

Hi Kathleen,

I dont know if it works to open the options in cpanel in a new window. It should, but I dont know. The only thing that should open in a new window and does automatically is the file manager.

Did you try to reboot, clear cache etc?

If that dont work, please open a ticket to the techs (link on top of page).

As for the mail problem, that definately sounds like a reason for a ticket assuming all email adresses, passwords etc are entered correctly.

Kathleen, I'm not a techie so excuse me if I don't explain this as well as it should be explained... but I had a similair situation with webmail when I first got my account. The problem was that an email account was automatically set up for me using the login for cpanel, i.e. "Account Name." I set up the account "nickname@****" to get my email (an email address I had already been using when my domain was hosted elsewhere). When I logged on to Horde, it defaulted to the "Account Name" account which of course had no mail in it. I had to log in by typing "nickname+****" and my password... then it pulled up my 'real' email account. I bookmarked it and from then on, the login defaults to the right account so long as I do it from my same computer. If I'm travelling and on a different computer, it will still default to the "Account Name" email account and I have to change it.

I hope this helps and I hope I've explained it sufficiently. Perhaps someone from TCH can come along and explain it better.

Hi Thomas,

Well today, it is up again and I can access cpanel. But this has happened before to me. Wondering if my server was down last night when that happened. Anyway to figure that out? I am on 76.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Vi,

Thanks for your tip on web mail. How do you log in to web mail? By typing in the cpanel ID/password? Is this a url such as used to get to cpanel? I currently use www.domainname.com/cpanel. I am not sure exactly how to log on to Neomail except to go to cpanel and click the email icon.

Thanks for your help.

You can get there via ******/webmail. You'll have to use your cPanel login there if I'm not mistaken. Then you use your email login after selecting Horde or Neomail icon, I think. I'm not quite sure because it's been quite a while since I did it this way. I bookmarked my Horde inbox so I just go straight there now. At my office, I made my Horde inbox my homepage so I go straight there when I open my browser. So just get there through /cpanel or /webmail the first time and then bookmark it and make yourself a shortcut.

Hi Vi,

Well, I was able to log in using the url format you suggested. I checked neomail, horde and squirrel and all 3 show no pending email. I logged in using the same ID/password that gets me to cpanel. I wish I could figure this out, very annoying.

If you go to ******/sqmail (for squirrelmail) and use your email address and password to login you should see your mail.

Do not use your cpanel login/password. I think this may be what is causing the problem. That account is a catch all account for anything that can not be delivered to an email address or forward.

That's what I was trying to say above! You have to use your EMAIL login (email name + domain.com) not your cpanel login (user name) once you are past the cpanel login and at the webmail login screen... otherwise you'll be checking that 'catchall' account Bruce mentioned (the same one I was talking about that gets set up automatically for your domain).
