ThatAdamGuy Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 I moved to TCH from BlogHosts and updated DNS pointers and such a week ago... but in checking my stats on BlogHosts, I still show about a dozen visits (and 100+ hits) on my old sites each day. Why might this be, and is there any way I can address this issue? Quote
LisaJill Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 Caching on proxy servers. I used to have to deal with this for months on end; some organizations are just amazing. You can put in a redirect on your pages at Bloghost, so that they send directly here. You could do that with meta tags or javascript or both. Or, you could hunt down the sys admins.. but I don't suggest that unless you're only going to throw pillows at them. =) Quote
ThatAdamGuy Posted November 15, 2004 Author Posted November 15, 2004 Hmm... but if I forwarded folks, then I'd have to use the IP address of my sites, right... because their DNS entry for my domains are outdated? And since I have a virtual IP... how would that work? Sorry, I'm a bit confused! Quote
LisaJill Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 You have a point, but you have a virtual IP? You could forward people the information for accessing your site directly that was given to you in your welcome email. It's 3am, so this may be completely wrong; but I think it should work. My apologies if not, I'm trying though! =) Quote
