Phantasmo Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 I don't know if anyone else saw this, but it was mentioned on Slashdot with a better description pointing to a notice at Netcraft Basically ICANN is changing the policy on domain transfers effective on Friday Nov. 12th, where any transfer request that hasn't been responded to withing a 5 day period is automatically approved. The best advice given is that you make sure that your contact information for your domain is updated and, if available, your domain is locked. Quote
DWD Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 ...and, if available, your domain is locked. What popular/recommended registrars provide this service? Quote
TCH-Rob Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 We offer locking as a part of our service. Quote
Betty1 Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 How do you lock your domain? Where do you go to do it? Quote
TCH-Don Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 Log into your domain registar site (where you bought it) and you will see an option to lock the domain, if it is supported by your registar. Now no one can transfer it until you unlock it. Quote
Betty1 Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 I bought my domains through TCH. What's the URL for it? Quote
TCH-Don Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 You should have received an e-mail when you bought your domian with all the details for logging in. For tch try this link Quote
