Submit To Search Engines?

If i subscribe to a web hosting plan, will my site be submitted to search engines? If not, how do i do that?

Not automatically, but there is a form in CPanel that you can fill out to submit to:

 

alltheweb

directhit

google

hotbot

lycos

mixcat

 

Other than that you can go to the search engines and add yourself to them; or use one of the many available search engine submission sites on the web. =)

Thomas is correct and getting you page listed on the TotalChoice Family pages is a good start. You can submit your site for inclusion in the Add me to the Family forum.

A complimentary site is one that goes along the same topic as yours. If you have an Alligator Wrestling site then a link from a Yo-Yo manufacturer site would help, but a link from an Alligator Museum would be a much better link.

 

The search engines visit the pages of those sites that are listed already and if they find a link to your site they'll add you to the list eventually. It's a much more reliable way to get listed than the submission sites.
