iowamf Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 Greetings - I'm a command line junkie and the cpanel/filemanagement GUI has me stumped. How does on delete many files at once, ie, "rm id*" ? Thanks - Mike Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 Welcome to the forums and the family. The only way you can delete multiple files without shell access is to use an FTP client. Quote
iowamf Posted October 15, 2004 Author Posted October 15, 2004 Thanks - that was quick! I just used a "mdelete *.*" command from ftp and it worked - typing "y" after each file wasn't so bad. I'm GUI challenged - deleting a file at a time from the cPanel filemgr GUI is like mowing a yard with a scissors cutting one blade at time. Regards - Mike Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 I only use the File Manager in cPanel when absolutly necessary. Otherwise I use an FTP client. My choice CuteFTP. Quote

TCH-Don Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 Most ftp programs will let you select many files by click and shift click or control-clicking on each file and then just the del key or right click > delete Then it will delete all selected files. Quote
