webmedic Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 Is there a way to fix this? I have been on this mailing list for years and since moving to these servers they reject all my mail. Now i know they do this to cut down on spammers and I like that. But the totoalchoice servers should have properly resolving domains. Here is the error. It's just one of many but a good example: This message was created automatically by mail delivery software. A message that you sent has not yet been delivered to one or more of its recipients after more than 72 hours on the queue on server68.totalchoicehosting.com. The message identifier is: 1BxpbM-0000NX-6i The subject of the message is: Re: [Cooker] RoadMap, where are we ??? The date of the message is: Thu, 19 Aug 2004 09:17:24 -0700 The address to which the message has not yet been delivered is: cooker@linux-mandrake.com Delay reason: SMTP error from remote mailer after RCPT TO:<cooker@linux-mandrake.com>: host smtp.mandrax.org [212.85.147.169]: 450 Client host rejected: cannot find your hostname, [209.51.137.10] No action is required on your part. Delivery attempts will continue for some time, and this warning may be repeated at intervals if the message remains undelivered. Eventually the mail delivery software will give up, and when that happens, the message will be returned to you. Quote
MikeJ Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 Submit a help desk ticket to have someone take a look at it. All of our servers are supposed to have reverse DNS working fully. Quote
webmedic Posted August 23, 2004 Author Posted August 23, 2004 I really hate that thing but ok. For some reason it doesn't handle cookies right and always logs me out and then I cant get logged back in. I've been building sites for about 8 years so I dont think it's operator headspace error either. Quote
webmedic Posted August 23, 2004 Author Posted August 23, 2004 linux and firefox usually but I get all my email with kmail and the links when I click on them open into konqeror which works pretty good for most things. So I usually use it when I click on links from emails. Quote

webmedic Posted August 23, 2004 Author Posted August 23, 2004 Guys I already now that my point was the app doesn't work properly or to put it nicely is broken with some user agents. I'm not looking for a solution. And I know how toget to the link at the top of the page. I've been building servers and webpages longer than probably most of the people working at this place. Thanks for trying to help though. I was rather hoping that maybe it would generate some talk with the makers of the app so that it could be be fixed. You know it's no so much how I can get arround the issues as it is that the app was not programmed proeprly to begin with or else it would not have issues with other browsers. I have written my apps to work accross all browsers. It's not that hard it just takes a programmer who desides to do a better job. Besdies you should try to have to work arround ie it's very much painfull. Quote
MikeJ Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 That's why I was asking. We can take a look and see if there's something we can do to make the helpdesk more accessible, I just needed to know what you were using to test with. Quote
