menttal Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 Hey guys I keep reading about this add on scripts button all over this board and well i dont see it in my cpanel? am i missing something here? Quote
LisaJill Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 If you're in monsoon/another listed theme it's right under "CGI Scripts" - if you're in the theme with all the icons it should be somewhere in the middle of all of them. If you don't see it (try doing a find in page for add, edit -> find in page) then submit a ticket. =) Quote
menttal Posted August 20, 2004 Author Posted August 20, 2004 i have cpanel 9 i guess thats what you mean. Quote
LisaJill Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 No there are different "look and feels" for cpanel. Monsoon is one theme, 'x' is another. Monsoon is a list of items. 'x' is a bunch of icons lined up. It could be scripts library, I haven't been on 'x' in a long time. =) Quote
menttal Posted August 20, 2004 Author Posted August 20, 2004 ok i found it under script library. Now i see that it asks me to install it in a top level directory like ******/filename is that not the same as a subdomain like mysubdomain.****? If not how can i get it on my sub domain? Quote

LisaJill Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 yes, something like "forums.domain.com" would be from domain.com/forums. =) You just need to have the subdomain created and install the forum in the right directory. Quote
menttal Posted August 20, 2004 Author Posted August 20, 2004 cool lisa thanks hope my newb questions arent too inane! Quote
menttal Posted August 20, 2004 Author Posted August 20, 2004 well poop...i got an error Error: /home/fantasy/public_html/fantasyforums already exists its a sub domain im trying to install it too should i delete it? Quote
LisaJill Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 (edited) It may need to be done in the reverse order - I've never actually done this. Install forums then make subdomain, might work. =) or just delete the folder, and leave the subdomain.... Edited August 20, 2004 by TCH-Lisa Quote
