Cpanel Serveralias?

Hi there

 

I'm trying to figure out whether or not there is a built-in way to set a domain name up as a ServerAlias, rather than a "parked" domain, through cpanel/WHM.

 

I would like the domain name to always be that of the primary site url, so that, for example, if someone types in http://bigdumbjerk.com/geek/scripts/ - they will see http://snipe.net/geek/scripts/ in the address bar.

 

Is there a way to do this through WHM, or am I going to have to manually edit the apache files?

I don't think there's a way to do that through WHM but if I recall correctly, you're on a dedicated box, so you have admin access and that may provide you with some options I don't have in my reseller account, meaning this post is really useless since I can't tell you more than "I don't think so but don't take my word for it"

Hee! Thanks! Nah, no hurry at all. I can easily make the changes to the apache config, I was just wondering if there was a way to do it in WHM. There are so many options in WHM, and the usability of it is, well, not the greatest. (Putting 5000 links in your sidenav is never a good idea... LOL)

 

Its really not even that important - the only reason why I brought it up is because I have at least 2 sites that branded as "dot coms". Pet-Abuse.Com and Snipe.Net in particular. When people post our links on forums, in email, etc - I want them to be the links that point to the primary domain name so that if we ever decide to ditch one or more of the aliases, they still have links that work.
