WhateverJames Posted March 14, 2003 Posted March 14, 2003 I was supposed to get an e-mail at 80% and didn't get one. I could have pulled the files from the website that were causing this problem and still had my website up. But, the website bandwidth limit got maxed on the 10th of March and now I have to wait until April before it comes back, when I will then remove the files. (No files against the terms of service, just some videos of cars). I hope I don't sound too ignorant, but I payed my monthly fee for 10 days of service I understand that I did hit 10 gigs of data transfer and it's fair that the site was shut down because I'm not paying for more than 10 gigs. But, may I please be notified if I happen to hit 80% again? My default e-mail is jamesh@systemsilence.com (I can still get e-mail) Thank you. Quote
Ayman_ Posted March 14, 2003 Posted March 14, 2003 hi, The warning letter when your account hits 80% is a new feature. I am not sure why you didnt get it, as it is a new feature it is not fully documented yet. I donated 2GB of BW to your account and unsuspended it. You really should keep a closer eye on your bandwidth use. Enjoy the 2GB. Ayman Quote
WhateverJames Posted March 15, 2003 Author Posted March 15, 2003 Thank you very much for the extra bandwidth. I tried to watch the bandwidth, and Webalizer said I was at 5 GB but I guess it just spiked those past couple days. I think the links got tossed around different message boards. Anyway, thank you for the help. I'll watch the bandwidth even closer when having larger files. Quote
baseline Posted March 15, 2003 Posted March 15, 2003 may i ask where can i find this option in cpanel to notify at xx% usage? i can't seem to see it Quote
KevinW Posted March 16, 2003 Posted March 16, 2003 I don't believe the option is something you set in cPanel. Rather TCH will automatically notify you by email when your bandwidth exceeds 80% or when your assigned web disk space becomes 80% full. Many web providers don't do this. Instead they will either immediately disable your account, or automatically upgrade you to the next level of account and charge you for it! -kw Quote
WhateverJames Posted March 22, 2003 Author Posted March 22, 2003 Now I get the notification e-mail 5 times a day. LOL. At least I'm getting the message. Every day I'm told I hit 80% Quote
