Secure Form For Credit Card Number

Recommended Posts

I know that emails generated by online forms are not secure so I currently have to call our customer after a form is submitted to confirm the card number if we do not have it already on file.

If I want a business customer to submit credit card number in a form, how do I do that and make sure the data will be secure? (I am not talking shopping cart because we do not have the BULK FREIGHT cost calculated at the time the form is submitted so nothing can be charged on the card until later in the day.) Does it just tatke an SSL certificate and a regular email form on a secure server address?

Also, does anyone know of a form program that allows me to set up database with prices and I can draw the prices from the database rather than building prices INTO the form code which will take me far longer to update?

Thanks for any suggestions here.
