Russ Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 Please excuse me if this is not posted on the correct thread, but here is my question. I would like to embed links to some of my photographs on a photo forum that I am a member of. Once embedded, the url can be accesses by right clicking on the image on the forum and selecting properties. I would prefer if my domain address was not revealed. In other words, I do not want strangers being able to cut and paste the url and visit my site. Is there a way to upload image onto my site, but not have the url be displayed? Quote
TCH-Rob Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 For the purposes you are describing I do not believe there is a way to hide that information. Quote
Russ Posted June 8, 2004 Author Posted June 8, 2004 Thanks for your help. Some follow up questions if you don't mind. If I create a sub folder (say, images) under my ****/public.html, and post pictures there (with a url of ****/images/img.jpg), I can upload pictures to that folder. Am I correct that people will only be able to view that image and if they cut and paste the url they will be able to view my site, but they cannot do anything other than view the site correct? On a related question, if I create a folder on the same level as public.html, will I be able to upload pictures and embed them on the forum? I appreciate your help. Quote
