JTey Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 I was curious to know what options there were for sites who offer, lets say, an archive of files for download. Maybe this could be a video-clip archive or something. They usually store their download archive on a different location than their web page files; some sort of dedicated file hosting box? Who offers these services, and how much are we looking at in terms of monthly fees, which I imagine isn't very cheap to begin with..? Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 You could host the files in your own domain up to your bandwidth limits. You could upgrade to a larger account. You could purchase a dedicated box. Or you could check out this site. SWMirror.com To find more sites like the one mentioned above google for "file hosting" and you will get a bunch of results. Quote
TCH-Don Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 Yes, if considering using your account here check the AUP and an update for the AUP and TOS For your own files you should be ok if you watch the bandwidth. Quote
