emallinson Posted May 16, 2004 Posted May 16, 2004 Hi, I was curious as to whether Drupal and/or Zen Cart were able to be installed. I had searched for and read a couple of comments on the former but none specifically saying it was supported; just that it was a popular substitute. The latter, Zen Cart, I have tried in demo form and thought was interesting but I am not as familiar with it so pardon me if I am asking a dumb question. I'm currently looking for a MT friendly host - though with 3.0d getting so much backlash and Drupal actually offering features I like I would like to keep my options open. Erik Quote
LisaJill Posted May 16, 2004 Posted May 16, 2004 TCH's servers should be more than capable of running Drupal and we meet the requirements for the installation, using PHP and Mysql. There is no automatic installation for it but you are welcome to idownload and install it. =) I just checked the requirements for ZenCart - TCH does meet the minimum requirements for that so shouldn't be a problem; but again there is no automated installation. You'd have to do it manually. If you need help feel free to post in the scripting section, lots of helpful people 'round these 'ere parts. =) Oh - and we're MT friendly, several customers and staff run it; I myself just migrated away from it and am currently running Textpattern and ExpressionEngine. =) Look forward to welcoming you to our familly Rock Sign Quote
emallinson Posted May 16, 2004 Author Posted May 16, 2004 Thanks Lisa for the quick reply! I'll definitely be signing up shortly, it was kind of my final question in my searching for a new host. Erik Quote
LisaJill Posted May 16, 2004 Posted May 16, 2004 Hey Erik! Be sure to stop by the Intro forum after you sign up so that we can welcome you. =) Quote
TCH-Rob Posted May 16, 2004 Posted May 16, 2004 Zen Cart is from some of the people that used to contribute to osCommerce. I really like Zen alot. Given a little time and some more integrations of contribution type items and I think it will take osc. Worth a look if one is considering osc as well. Quote
