Hello All, I have a problem with one of my databases --for whatever reason some of the entires in one table is getting deleted on a regular basis. I would like to know if it is possible to create and SAVE daily backups of my database... I now how to download a copy of any of my databases, but I need an automatic process that will save the databases to my website home directory (or any other place in the web site) on a daily basis. I am using my own upload web page (script). I can't use the ftp program because: 1) I couldn't propertly install it and upload anything to my site with them 2) I will have to ask each designer to install a particular ftp script version and I prefer not to do that. Thanks! Norma

I also tried adding these files to the .htaccess file but it didn't worked. I picked these values because I read on another thread (outside TCH) that these values also need to be updated. php_value upload_max_filesize 100M php_value max_execution_time 800 php_value post_max_size 100M php_value max_input_time 100 php_value memory_limit 120M By the way, my goal is to upload files up lot 100MB each. My sites sells digital scrapbooks and the files are zipped. Some of the files are much smaller, like 50MB each but sometimes the entire kit is on a single file and it could be as large as 100 MB. It didn't worked. I rename the file both in my root and the upload web page, but it still didn't work. At this point, I am only trying to upload ZIP files. Do you know if there is any constraints on the zip files sizes? Thanks!

I am having the same problem. Small files are uploaded it, but bigger files than 8MB give an error page. The error page that I get is the: "The page cannot be displayed" This is what I have on my .htaccess.1174279632 This .htaccess file is located both in my root public directory and my upload directory. php_value upload_max_filesize 100MB php_value max_execution_time 800 If anyone can help me, I can send them the link and username/password. Hi, I just received my welcome email yesterday and I want to log in to my cpanel or account using the generic login in vs using my domain name, since I know that will take a few more days to redirect. The email said to use this link for the cpanel: http://Auto/cpanel And this is what is says for the FTP account: "You can begin uploading your files at: http://www.scrapbooksgonedigital.com or before domain name propagation Auto Please use the same Username and Password as listed above." but none of these links exist. Is this supposed to redirect to something else? I open a support ticket and I received a replay saying that I had to use my domain name and the ticket was closed. I just want to know if I am missing the obvious. Thanks!

OK. I am sold. I think you guys cover my basic. I will give up on the ssh, hoping that CPANEL will be reliable. I am not going to deny, I am still very nervious because what just happen with my current host, but I should had see it coming. Now my top priority is reliability and support and I think I can get that here. Thanks for all of your quick answers !!

Hi, I am looking for a reliable host and Laura from http://www.handmade-invitations.com/ (Designs by Demeter) highly recommed you guys. I search the forum, but did not find an answer to all of my questions, so I decided to post. I am looking for a new host, since I am extremely upset at my current host after my VPS has been down for a week and they had done nothing, even after I call them several times thru the day. I don't even know if I will be able to retrieve my website information again.... any ways. Here are my questions: Can you install GD 2.X or ImageMagick? What is the version of MySQL that you have? I need 4.0.16 or higher for vBulletin to work. Can the safe_mode of my PHP be set to "Off"? Can I have ssh on a "Semi-Dedicated" Server? It makes it a lot easier and faster to configure and upload my software, like PhotoPost, vbulleting, etc. Can you have cURL installed/compiled with php? is required to my Zen cart. Do I get my own IP Address? Will CPanel work? The CPANL from the hosts that I am currently using was terrible. I could not install the Mail, MySQLAdmin, use MySQL, it was just useless, so I rely on SSH a lot to do my own installations. So, did I understood correctly that you have tutorials to transfer my current site to TCH (that is, if I ever get to see my site again ) Also, I just want to confirm that it will take up to 12 hrs for my Semi-Dedicated server to be up? That's all. I really like the fact that you have a forum and I am really looking forward to having a stable host.
