Hi all,
I've used the same version of Eudora for years.
And today, that mysterious 550 message started blocking all of the e-mails I was trying to send.
This often happens when I'm on the road, but rarely at the home computer. * heavy sigh *
Eudora Tech Support offers this bit of information

The net result, if changing the outgoing mail port doesn't work, then you might have to use the SMTP server of the ISP into which you are dialing, hardwired, or wireless for sending mail.
I changed the SMTP server to that of my cable modem company and my e-mails were then sent.
For travelers, make a note of your changes. Cause when on the road, this change will affect your ability to send mail. You may need to change it back to mail.your-tch-website.com, or to another SMPT server that works for you.
If you are using the most recent version of Eudora,
you can use the SMPT relay feature for sending mail:

Am hoping this note saves forum members a few hours of homework and frustration.
All the best,
Ruby
